“ Enjoyed the walleye. Very good portions. The cheese potato's were the star awesome! The green beans were great too. The service was good. I would have given a 5 star review, but I did not enjoy the bread. ”
“ We had walked past this place multiple times not realizing what we were missing out on. Our friends asked if we'd like to go to lunch here and we were excited to give it a try. I thought it was going to be on the fancier side, but it's a casual come as you are type place. The decor has that waterfront vibe with a lot to look at as you sit and enjoy the atmosphere. Speaking of sitting, we sat by the window and had a view of the waterfront across the street. I had the Lake Perch with garlic mashed potatoes and their unique and delicious coleslaw. It was the perfect amount of food. The chairs weren't the most comfortable to sit on, but everything else was good. The service was attentive and outstanding and the entire visit was worthwhile. Give it a try and I think you'll be pleased too. ”
“ We went on Tuesday when they have an all you can eat perch. We didn't go for that dish, although many of us did get perch. Perch was very good. I love the panko breading. Garlic mashed potatoes were quite thin with no real taste. Others liked the chips. Rice was ok; just not much to it. Service was very good. Friendly and helpful. Kitchen must have been seriously backed up because it took a real long time to get our main entries. We'd finished our appetizers at least 30 minutes before the main course showed up. ”
“ Went here with my parents for lunch. Easy parking on a weekday afternoon and quick to get a table. The porch/ outdoor seating was all full but that makes sense as it's a nice view and it was a beautiful day. Staff was prompt but very brief, didn't check to see if we'd ever been in, explain any specials, or give any personalization. I ordered the smoked salmon club, as I love smoked salmon. It was a tiny bit dry but had good flavor. The fries were fine. Food came out quickly. My parents enjoyed their food, mom got scallops and dad got a burger. Overall a decent place to try. ”
“ We love this place! Amazing views, great food! Love their clam chowder, coleslaw and many fish dishes. A must try in the area, busy every Friday Saturday night. A local and visitor's favorite highly recommend! Staff is friendly and accommodating! ”
“ Visited Marine City over the weekend and stumbled across Marine City Fish Company through the amazing reviews. From first impressions, the restaurant is very spacious with lots of seating options both outdoors and indoors. We came around 1pm and there were a lot of seating options and opted for seating upstairs outside with the views. 2 pc cod with sides (clam chowder soup and garlic mashed potatoes): Delicious quality cod. The batter was nice and crispy, it was not greasy at all. The pieces were a bit small but was enough given the amount of sides this came with. The soup was good but a tad bit salty for my taste but overall decent. The garlic mashed potatoes came out really hot and was a decent size portion. Smoked salmon & cheese appetizer: Could smell the smokiness of the salmon. The cheeses went really well with the salmon. It was a great sharing appetizer with the meal. Steak sandwich: Good sandwich but I wouldn't say it's anything out of the ordinary. Jumbo shrimps: Tasty shrimps, a bit of a small portion but they do state it clearly on the menu how many pieces you would be getting. Came with a side and chose the hand cut fries. The service was quite attentive despite the busy time around lunch hours. The food came out at a reasonable time given the amount of people. Highly recommend coming here for delicious food and great summer views. ”
“ We were visiting Marine City and had received a recommendation for the Marine City Fish Company, so we decided to go. We're glad we did! Here are a few highlights: - It was a Friday night and we had made a 5 PM reservation, which was a good thing since they got pretty crowded. We tried to shift it to 5:30 that day and that would've been a problem, so plan ahead if you want to go at a busy time. Unfortunately, they don't have an online reservation tool so you have to call. - We ordered some specially cocktails off their cocktail menu, and they were OK but nothing out of this world. - You get a lot with a meal, so my wife and I decided to split the smoked Fish spread and then also a Perch dinner. The spread was great, but pretty filling itself. The dinner came with the New England style chowder first, which was very good, and then we got the homemade chips as our other side. The chips were awesome, and the six pieces of perch were more than enough for the two of us. We got the sautéed perch, which was a good call since the Panko breaded perch that we saw someone else get looked very breaded. - Service was great and the vibe inside the restaurant was casual, fun, and beautiful with the view. Bottom line: We'd go back anytime! ”
“ Went here for dinner over the weekend. Pleasantly surprised that there was space at the bar for a drink and opted to sit at bar to eat! Waitress very pleasant and helpful- food was delicious. We had over ambitious apps of pita bread with feta and fish company spread. BTW they make their own bread! BTW they make their own noodles! Food was excellent- only comment was about fries being a bit dry. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back! (Even if a bit out of the way!) ”
